Alabama Housing Stimulus

The Legislature of Alabama has given full approval to a stimulus bill saying, it was allowed to spend around $6 million for the state of Alabama with a motive of helping the underprivileged people.

This amount is said to be taken by an oil and gas revenue and savings account which would be administered by AHFA- Alabama Housing Finance Authority. Not only this but the Alabama state legislature has also proposed a counseling program to all those families who belong to a very low income group. This counseling program would be on the home buying processes and its various issues.

The stimulus bill which has been passed is specially designed to provide houses to people of low income group. It is estimated that because of the Alabama Housing Stimulus bill it would provide shelter to 7000 or more families. The bill also proposes to create employment opportunities for the people of Alabama. This state is already called the college town and by creating employment here, it would make it easier for the students to work after college. Apart from the oil and gas revenue account the funds for affordable housing projects would also come in from Alabama Capital Improvement Trust. It will make sure than the Alabamians need not pay any charges as part of insurance as then this would be costlier. They would be given insurance by the trust at a cheaper rate thus saving their money and utilizing their money at the right place.

Further, the stimulus bill passed also says that the Alabama Trust Fund should withdraw around $100 million which was supposed to be used in building roads, bridges and highways in each city of Alabama. According to the trust it is more important to provide shelter by giving affordable housing to the needy people instead of construction of buildings, roads and highways. This will improve the real estate market in AL. This state seems to be promising enough and thus the works of the trust will not go waste.
